Billing & Earnings

Updated today

This article explains how contributor earnings work, when you get paid, how to track your earnings, and why there's a 90-day delay before earnings appear in your dashboard.

How Do Contributor Earnings Work?

When subscribers download your templates, you earn a share of the revenue. Your earnings are calculated based on the number of downloads your templates receive each month.

However, earnings are not available immediately. There is a 90-day waiting period after each month closes before your earnings for that month appear in your dashboard and become eligible for payout. This means you will always be looking at data from about three months ago, not the current month.

Why Is There a 90-Day Delay Before I See My Earnings?

The 90-day delay exists to make sure all earnings are final and accurate before we pay them out. During those 90 days, some subscribers may cancel their subscription, request a refund, or have a payment issue. When that happens, the downloads from those subscribers no longer count as revenue, and that money has to be returned.

If we paid out earnings immediately, we might overpay contributors based on revenue we didn't actually get to keep. The 90-day window gives enough time for cancellations, refunds, and payment disputes to settle so that by the time your earnings appear in your dashboard, those numbers are final and reliable.

When Do My Earnings Show Up in My Dashboard?

Your earnings for a given month appear in your dashboard 90 days after that month closes. Here's how the timeline works:

  • Earnings from August appear in your dashboard and are paid on December 1st

  • Earnings from September appear in your dashboard and are paid on January 1st

  • Earnings from October appear in your dashboard and are paid on February 1st

  • Earnings from November appear in your dashboard and are paid on March 1st

  • Earnings from December appear in your dashboard and are paid on April 1st

So if today is late March, the most recent earnings you would see in your dashboard are from November. You would not see December earnings until April 1st. This is completely normal. It does not mean your earnings are missing. They are just still in the 90-day waiting period.

Why Don't I See Earnings for Last Month or This Month?

If you're looking at your dashboard and don't see data for recent months like January, February, or March, that's expected. Those months are still within the 90-day waiting period. Your earnings for those months will appear in your dashboard once the 90-day window has passed.

For example, if it's currently March 2026:

  • March 2026 earnings will appear around July 1, 2026

  • February 2026 earnings will appear around June 1, 2026

  • January 2026 earnings will appear around May 1, 2026

You don't need to contact support about missing data for recent months. The data will appear automatically once the 90-day period is complete.

What Is the $50 Minimum Payout Threshold?

Payouts are processed once your accumulated earnings reach at least $50. If your earnings for a given month are under $50, that amount rolls over and adds to your next month's earnings. It keeps accumulating until your total unpaid balance reaches $50 or more, at which point the full amount is paid out.

For example:
if you earn $30 in September and $25 in October, your total unpaid balance after October would be $55. Once both months clear the 90-day waiting period, you would receive a payout of $55 because your accumulated balance passed the $50 threshold.

We use the $50 minimum because processing very small payments is expensive. Your earnings are never lost. They just accumulate until they reach the payout threshold.

How Do I Get Paid?

Payouts are sent automatically to your linked payment account once your earnings clear the 90-day waiting period and your accumulated balance is $50 or more. There are no fees on standard transfers.

The available payout methods are:

  • PayPal

  • EasyStaff

  • Payoneer

Make sure your payment account is linked in your dashboard so payouts process without delays.

How Do I Track My Earnings and Download History?

You can view all of your earnings and download data in the Earnings tab of your dashboard. The Earnings tab shows:

  • All-time totals: Your lifetime earnings, total downloads, and your top-performing assets at a glance.

  • Monthly summaries: A month-by-month breakdown showing the number of downloads, download earnings, referral earnings, total earnings, payout amount, payout date, and a memo for each payment.

  • Previous payouts: A full history of every payout you've received, including dates, amounts, and payment methods.

You can export your earnings reports as a CSV file from the Earnings tab for your own records or accounting.

I Think My Earnings Are Wrong. What Should I Do?

If you believe there is an error in your earnings or payout amount, email [email protected] with the specific month and details of what looks incorrect. Our team will review your account and follow up with you. Please keep in mind that the 90-day delay means some downloads that occurred during a month may not count in the final tally if the subscriber who downloaded them canceled or received a refund during the waiting period.
