What payment methods can my customers use?
Your customers can pay using the following payment methods through Stripe:
Credit cards
Apple Pay
Google Pay
Bank direct debit, including:
SEPA
iDEAL
Bancontact
US ACH
Available payment methods depend on your payment processor, your customer's country, and their browser.
You can also send invoices and accept recurring automatic payments.
Can I charge VAT and issue VAT-compliant invoices (EU/UK)?
Yes. You can set named VAT rates and apply them per invoice or per line item, or turn on automatic international tax, which calculates the correct VAT based on your customer's country across invoices, checkouts, and stores.
Invoices can display your VAT/tax ID and your client's, along with your company name, address, logo, and custom terms. Exact invoice requirements vary by country, so confirm your local requirements with your accountant.
Does invoicing handle sales tax?
Yes. You can add tax rates to invoices, estimates, funnels, and checkouts. For U.S. sales, taxes can be calculated automatically based on the customer's location. For other regions, such as Canada (GST, HST, and PST), you'll need to enter the applicable tax rates manually. Be sure to confirm the correct tax rates with your accountant.
Can I manually create orders or invoices for customers?
Yes. You can build an invoice or order for a specific customer without them going through an online checkout, add custom line items, set your own prices per customer and per product, and then send a payment link or mark it as paid. You can also set up recurring subscriptions.
Does it include budgeting or income tracking?
It tracks income, not expenses. The Payments dashboard shows revenue, recurring revenue, paying customers, and sales by channel, with attribution back to the emails, funnels, and campaigns that drove them.
For expenses, profit and loss, and full accounting, connect a dedicated tool like QuickBooks.
